Dr. Terry McEnany - He makes Jayant Patel look like a good guy!

I would think that the people of Queensland, Australia could look into the case of Michael Terry McEnany, M.D. It might help in providing a little extra assistance to the victims of Jayant Patel. Both McEnany and Patel were surgeon butchers and both were given glowing letters of recommendation and assisted with relocating to other parts of the world or country after having drawn attention to their incompetence locally.

The McEnany case shows a pattern of corporate behavior of disposing of an embarrassing employee problem by dumping it off on another unsuspecting patient population.

Kaiser staff did that to Queensland with their recommendation of Jayant Patel and numerous patients suffered because of it. Kaiser did the same thing with Terry McEnany and there is detailed documentation of how and why it all happened and how much money the corporations involved made off of allowing this man to continue with his incompetence for as long as they did.

Even when Dr. McEnany was shipped off quietly to Luther Hospital in Wisconsin to hush up the California problems it was only about money. When Lutheran found out what a mess this guy was instead of getting rid of him right away they kept him on because he was such a good business manager. Again the money came before the patient.

Fortunately one of the Permanente physicians did the right thing and tried to stop this guy from killing further patients. Unfortunately for him Kaiser retaliated and started a smear campaign to make him stop talking. Today, Dr. William York Moores is testifying on behalf of the victims of Dr. McEnany in the state of Wisconsin.

More documents will be placed on line as they are received.

Kaiser Permanente faces record fine - What a joke!

The L.A. Times just came out with the most recent Kaiser story -
http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-kaiser26jul26,0,351981,full.story?coll=la-home-center

LOS ANGELES -- Kaiser Permanente will be assessed a record fine Thursday for its haphazard investigations of questionable care, physician performance and patient complaints at its California hospitals, state HMO regulators said Wednesday.

The California Department of Managed Health Care said it will levy a $3 million fine against Kaiser, the largest health maintenance organization in the state, with 29 medical centers and more than 6 million members. If Kaiser makes necessary improvements, agency director Cindy Ehnes said, she will forgive $1 million of that.

I am sure that the families that lost loved ones because of the crappy Kaiser Kare, especially those that were stuck in their only in name Kidney Transplant Program, are really elated to see this turn of justice or whatever it is that DMHC is calling it that they are doing up in Sacramento.

We are all supposed to believe that Kaiser is suffering from this teeny tiny fine. This corporation that nationwide had revenue of $34.4 billion last year and a net income of $1.3 billion and with most of it's patients in California is probably standing back laughing at what DMHC has become.

If so many people in California government positions weren't profiting off of Kaiser associations and donations I would think that this state was just incompetent.

I received the following statement from a former patient of Kaiser Health Plan of Northern California regarding the medical negligence and resultant harassing conduct directed at her from Permanente staff members. This conduct - organized cover up might be a better way of putting it, did not faze her. She spent years documenting and gathering evidence of Kaiser Permanente's concerted attempt to silence her, discredit her and destroy her health. Finally she she now has all the information and in a short while will be making her story public. Here is her statement:

STATEMENT

I am Jupirena Stein a former patient at Kaiser Permanente, Redwood City, California.
Some of you may have heard about me, some of you perhaps read “My Story” printed here at kaiserpapers.org in 2004.

Such print has since been deleted because it contained (unbeknown to me at that time,) wrong information about my “injury” at Kaiser Permanente as well as inaccurate and incomplete information about my consequent lawsuit against this HMO, - altogether!

You see folks, I passed on wrong information to all of you because I had trusted that Kaiser Permanente doctors were “telling me the truth,“ only to find out that they had simply deceived me.

I passed on wrong information to all of you about my consequent medical malpractice lawsuit, against this HMO because my representing attorney, Mr. Bruce Albion Bailey had also deceived me.

After 6 long years of continued investigations and the gathering of literally hundreds of medical/legal documents, I can now safely inform you of the truth.

I wondered what had happened to my body on November 19th, 1999 during surgery at Kaiser Permanente and what had happened with my consequent lawsuit against this HMO.

I was led to believe (by Kaiser's doctors and Mr. Bailey) that my case of “medical malpractice” against this HMO, was about an absurd iatrogenic injury to the Right Spinal Accessory Nerve and that it was medical malpractice, that it involved Kaiser Permanente doctors incompetence. I thought it was about greed and lack of human respect.

I was wrong.

I now know that my surgery at Kaiser Permanente on November19th, 1999 and my subsequent lawsuit against this HMO, turned out to be in reality about medical crime, national cover-up, fraud and total disregard to human life.

This statement is to inform you that my investigation/findings will be soon the subject of a national/international media exposure and you will soon be able to read about it here at kaiserpapers.org.

Until then.

Jupirena Stein.

I would like to leave you with these wise words that in my opinion, Kaiser Permanente could learn from.

Problems can not be solved at the same level of awareness that created them.
